Your first eligible postpartum Tesla session is free

After appropriate clearance, your first session can help determine whether TeslaChair, TeslaFormer, pelvic floor physiotherapy or another pathway is the better fit for your recovery and goals.

This page provides general information only. Postpartum recovery varies significantly. Treatment requires suitability screening and appropriate medical or postpartum clearance.

Our approach
Recovery first, treatment second

We do not treat pain, significant prolapse, unresolved birth injury or concerning symptoms without appropriate clinical assessment.

Pelvic floor and core recovery are connected

Pregnancy and birth can affect pelvic floor activation, abdominal control, breathing, posture and confidence returning to exercise.

TeslaChair and TeslaFormer may support selected muscle-activation goals, but they are not a replacement for healing, graded exercise, pelvic floor physiotherapy or medical care. The first step is understanding your symptoms and recovery stage.

  • Individual suitability screening
  • TeslaChair for selected pelvic floor goals
  • TeslaFormer for selected core activation goals
  • Referral for physiotherapy or medical review where appropriate
Common concerns

What people may notice after pregnancy and birth

These concerns can have different causes. A device is not automatically the right answer.

Difficulty finding the pelvic floor

Some people struggle to identify or maintain a pelvic floor contraction after pregnancy and birth.

Leakage with movement

Coughing, sneezing, lifting, running or jumping can reveal pelvic floor weakness that deserves proper assessment.

Reduced core connection

The abdomen, diaphragm, back and pelvic floor work together. Recovery is not only about visible abdominal tone.

Return-to-exercise confidence

A staged plan can help you understand what support may be useful before increasing training intensity.

Choose the right pathway

TeslaChair, TeslaFormer or pelvic floor physiotherapy?

Each option has a different role. Some clients need more than one form of support.

Assessment and rehabilitation

Pelvic floor physiotherapy

Important when symptoms, pain, prolapse, coordination problems or birth-related injury require individual assessment.

If you have pelvic pain, significant prolapse symptoms, difficulty emptying the bladder, a complicated birth injury or symptoms that are not improving, a pelvic floor physiotherapist or doctor should assess you before Tesla treatment.

Clearance and timing

There is no universal postpartum start date

The right timing depends on how you gave birth, your healing, symptoms and the advice of your healthcare team.

A routine postpartum check may be sufficient for some people. Others need specific clearance from their doctor, obstetric provider or pelvic floor physiotherapist before magnetic stimulation or stronger core work.

  • You have not completed your routine postpartum or medical review
  • You have ongoing heavy bleeding, fever, wound concerns or signs of infection
  • You have pelvic pain, painful intercourse or unexplained abdominal pain
  • You notice a vaginal bulge, heaviness or significant prolapse symptoms
  • You have severe leakage, difficulty emptying the bladder or recurrent infections
  • You have a recent caesarean, significant tear or complication that has not been cleared

FAQs

Postpartum Tesla questions

Common questions about clearance, pelvic floor support, core activation and recovery.

There is no single timeframe that suits everyone. Recovery depends on birth type, tearing, caesarean healing, bleeding, pain, complications and your clinician's advice. Appropriate postpartum or medical clearance is required before Tesla treatment.

TeslaChair may be considered for selected postpartum clients who want pelvic floor activation support after clearance. It does not replace pelvic floor physiotherapy or medical assessment where these are needed.

TeslaFormer may support selected abdominal and core activation goals after clearance. It is not a treatment for every cause of abdominal weakness and should not replace a graded return to exercise.

Abdominal separation should be assessed properly. TeslaFormer may be considered as part of a broader core-support plan in selected clients, but it is not presented as a stand-alone cure for diastasis recti.

No. Pelvic floor physiotherapy provides individual assessment, education, exercise progression and treatment of coordination, pain or prolapse concerns. Tesla may be used as an additional support where appropriate.

Leakage is common but should not simply be ignored. The urinary incontinence support page explains stress, urgency and mixed symptoms and when medical or physiotherapy assessment is recommended.

Yes. TeslaChair and TeslaFormer are generally performed while you remain clothed. Comfortable clothing without metal around the treatment area is recommended.

A course is often more useful than one isolated session, but the plan depends on your recovery, symptoms and goals. Your first eligible Tesla session is free so suitability can be assessed before purchasing a package.

Your first eligible TeslaChair or TeslaFormer session is free. Standard pricing is $129 for one session, $599 for five sessions or $990 for ten sessions.

Postpartum recovery should not be reduced to appearance. Tesla may support selected muscle-activation goals, but it does not replace healing, nutrition, sleep, graded exercise, physiotherapy or medical care.
